Doctoral student
Department of Philosophy
Western University
Rowan Green is a PhD student at Western University supervised by Prof. Weijer. They are originally from Australia, where they obtained a BA (Hons) in philosophy and a BSc (Hons) in chemistry from the Australian National University. Their research interests are in the intersection of science and society, and particularly ethical issues surrounding the practice of science, including research ethics, science communication ethics, and public health ethics. Rowan is currently part of an interdisciplinary project which uses tools from implementation science to develop interventions that target misinformation-associated health behaviours. They are working on a subproject that considers questions about autonomy, justice, and research ethics that arise during the development of these behavioural interventions. In their spare time, Rowan enjoys watching cooking shows and trying food from around the world. They also have a passion for loose-leaf tea and science fiction.
